The Evolution and Future of the Human Animal is a book by academic and popular science author Jared Diamondin which the author explores concepts relating to the animal origins of human behavior, including cultural characteristics and those features often regarded as particularly unique to humans. Still, it sets the stage for Diamond’s later works including Collapse which I still haven’t read.

I have no idea why the editor didn’t cut it. Having read other works by Diamond I was a little worried about the level that this book might be written and while the text is simple it is hardly simplistic. To succeed, a book about science for the public has to please two audiences.
